All about Mrs. McCurley

I want to share a little bit of information about myself so you can get to know me! I was born and raised in Norman. Boomer Sooner! I moved to Ada after high school and attended East Central University where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education. I ended up  missing Norman so much that I moved back as soon as I graduated.

I have been teaching for 10 years now and have taught pre-k, first, and second grade. Second grade is my favorite! This will be my 8th year at Robin Hill and I absolutely love it here! I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family. I have two boys. Jackson is a fourth grader here at Robin Hill. Lucas is four. He stays with his grandma and goes to Mother's Day Out while we are at school. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, and shopping. I can't wait to learn more about you guys!

Communication

This is our class blog. This is different than the schools page. My goal is for this to be an easy way to update you with information about what we are learning, field trips, spelling words, and other events that pop up. I would encourage you to check this often.

I will also be using Class Dojo to communicate with you. This is a messaging system that I use quite a bit. This allows the me to send quick updates or information that you might need right away. You will need to log in to set up your account. You can find this information on the paper that was left on your student's desk at Meet the Teacher Night. If you have lost it, please let me know!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
